Trillion€uroBeat Elon

The challenge

€1,000,000,000,000.

The goal is a personal fortune of one trillion euro — large enough to overtake whoever is the world’s richest person at the time. It is very probably impossible. That is the point of doing it in public.

What “Beat Elon” means

“Beat Elon” is shorthand for the ambition: to become wealthier than the person at the top of the world’s rich lists, a position Elon Musk has held in recent years. It names a benchmark, not a rivalry, partnership or endorsement. TrillionEuro.com has no connection with Elon Musk or any of his companies, and does not use his image.

The rules the founder publishes by

  1. No invented numbers. Every figure on this site comes from the database or from a dated, sourced publication. Where a number doesn’t exist yet, the site says so.
  2. Setbacks get published too. Failed launches and losses go in the journal alongside wins.
  3. Different money, different labels. Personal net worth, company valuation, revenue and cash are different things and are never presented as each other.
  4. Participants are not investors. Founders’ Record entries buy a numbered public entry and certificate. They carry no claim on the founder’s wealth, any company, or any outcome.

How net worth is measured

Personal net worth = the founder’s personally owned assets minus personal liabilities, on a stated date, in euro. It includes the founder’s own share of companies they own, valued conservatively; it is not the headline valuation of those companies.

MeasureWhat it isCounts toward the €1T goal?
Personal net worthPersonal assets minus personal liabilitiesYes — this is the only measure that does
Company equity valueWhat a company is worth (e.g. at a funding round)Only the founder’s owned share, at a conservative value, inside net worth
Company revenueSales over a periodNo
Cash holdingsCash in a company or personal accountOnly personal cash, inside net worth

Each published figure carries its date, its source (for example: filed accounts, a bank statement summary, an independent valuation, a funding-round document) and the method used. Founder-reported figures that haven’t been independently checked are labelled as such.
